How To Complete The Huntington Camera Club Online Membership Form

Use your web browser to open the Huntington Camera Club home page. (http://www.hccny.org)

On the left hand side you will see a column of buttons. Click on “Membership Application”.

A new page will open which gives as one option “Become a Member Here”.

Click on that line to bring up the Membership Application Form.

Fill in your first and last names, address, phone numbers and email address.

The form will automatically generate your username consisting of the first letter

of your given name and your entire last name. Choose a password and be sure to

write down both your user name and password.  You will need them later to enter

   images for the competitions.

*** Note:  A current and carefully typed email address is extremely important in the event that we need to contact you regarding club

   news, events or activities ***

The next section lets you select the type of membership you are requesting.

If you are a full time student, select that box. If you are 62 or over you qualify

for senior rate. Click whether you are a new member or renewing your application.

The next box should be checked if you had been in a previous camera club and

entered their competitions or if by your experience in photography, you might qualify

for a higher skill level placement. Check this box also if you are unsure and wish to have

  your work evaluated.  This leads into the second part, Experience. Enter how long you have been interested in photography. Here you want to indicate the

  number of years you have been “serious” about your work, not just how long you have owned a camera. You will be able to participate in the 3 categories of

  image competitions supported by the Club. Check the boxes for the categories of interest.

In the section on “Programs”, enter the subjects of interest to you. The Club is always looking for good

programs to present to its members. If you have a program you can do please let us know. Also, enter if

you know of someone who can do an interesting program for the Club.

Let us know how you found out about the Huntington Camera Club. We are always looking for better ways

to contact the public and your information could help. The Camera Club does not run by itself. It takes the

work of many dedicated members to keep it going. We are always looking for people to help in a variety of

capacities. For new members, volunteering is a good way to meet the other people in the club. For returning

members, it is a means of paying back the club for the help it has provided in the past and improving it in the future.

   Finally, hit the “SUBMIT” button to complete the on line portion of the application. The remaining item is to write a check and mail it to our Treasurer at:
