HCC Email List
Huntington Camera Club encourages members, friends and visitors to join our email list. As a member of the club's on-line community you will have the ability to receive and send informative emails on many different photography related topics. This is your 24 hour 7 day-a-week photography community.
Rules for Use of the Huntington Camera Club Clublist:
- 1.The purpose of the Huntington Camera Club (HCC) email distribution service (Clublist) is to:
- • Disseminate information about HCC activities
- • Inform HCC members of lectures, classes, webinars, contests or competitions, etc. of a photographic nature
- • Inform about awards won by HCC members
- • Inform about presentations, lectures, shows, and exhibits by HCC members
- • Advertise photographic equipment for sale by members
- 2.The use of the Huntington Camera Club (HCC) email distribution service (Clublist) is a privilege granted to all members who sign up for the list. Abuse of the list, as determined by the list Moderator, shall result in loss of those privileges This can be appealed by application to the Executive Board of the HCC.
- 3.The Clublist shall not be used to disparage the work or present critical personal comments of other members. Such comments are not appropriate to a public forum.
- 4.The Moderator(s) shall have sole discretion as to the appropriateness of the specific content of all submissions.
- 5.Some email programs send messages in HTML format which is not easily read on the moderation site. In those cases the Moderator may request that a text only version be sent for approval. If accepted then the HTML version will be passed.
- 6.Images, including scanned flyers, cannot be read via the moderation site. Please avoid sending scanned flyers. In the case of images or scanned flyer attachments the Moderator may request that a copy be sent to him directly. If accepted then the message will be passed through.
- 7.The Clublist shall not be used to advertise activities that are not of photographic interest, such as outside businesses or charities.
- 8.If you have multiple topics please include them in one email.
- If you wish to JOIN the email list please click JOIN and type the word "join" or "subscribe" in the email subject line.
- If you wish to WITHDRAW your address from the list please click WITHDRAW and type in the word "leave" or "unsubscribe" in the email subject line.
All emails are monitored for content. Any messages deemed inappropriate will be denied and returned to it's sender.
Backup Email List Server
In the event that the primary email list service becomes unavailable, we have a backup list server that will be used to inform members of important events.It can also accept important emails from members to be distributed. Since this service is on an entirely different web host, you are encouraged to take the time to register your email address on this list server as well.
